Lishika, who is pursuing B.COM with MBA(marketing) lined up in the near future is a complete maverick to whom the idea of blogging first struck. Whereas, as Yashvi is still trying to make a place for herself in the Medical field Blogger Travel Food Love |Kolkata| was elated to be the backbone of that thought. Blogger Travel Food Love |Kolkata|are strong-headed and do not refrain from experimenting with new fields which will surely lift them up to new heights.
Why did you decide/inspired to start a food blog?
Food, to us, was something we always escaped to. No matter in what mood we are, a plate of any kind of good food always brings back that feeling of content.
Then blogging came into the picture which honestly happened out of nowhere. One thing that helped us to create our page was our constant hunger to know about various cuisines, it’s a place of origin, food culture, food habits, etc. and what’s the point of the knowledge if you can’t use it!
What is your blog about? Who reads it? How long have you been blogging?
Our page “travel.food.love_” as the name suggests is predominantly about FOOD & TRAVEL coalesced with other things we are fond of like fashion, lifestyle, etc.
We started blogging on the 21st of May, 2018 and this year we completed a year. A year of creativity, meeting new people, limitless learning, creating content, spreading awareness and above all enjoying ourselves.
We try to reach out to as many people as possible who connect with us on food, travel and many more things. Currently, we are going strong with 12.4k followers and with the belief, we have on our content we’ll surely reach to new levels!
What do you think food blogging will look like in 5 years?
A present time where the internet plays a major role in everyone’s life, people are just out there speaking their mind on every possible topic. It was in the recent past that everyone could come in terms with blogging and considering it as a full-time job. Some people are there because they love to do it, some to make money, some just for the sake of social life and others to criticize with a mask on.
We as food bloggers do not consider ourselves as a critic or rate card producers, we are here as a voice of the customers constantly trying the food and suggesting it’s the better version.
Since the idea has just sunk in, 5 YEARS DOWN THE LINE food blogging will surely create its own place by gathering more trust from food shops, having new doors for the bloggers to explore and will have people ready to invest in marketing and promotions to bring new places in light.
Because love for food is going nowhere!
Which part of blogging excites you most: the recipe development, the post writing, or the photography?
Part of blogging that excites us the most is definitely not the recipe development. We love hogging on food more than preparing it.
On the other hand, we have a thing for photography and we run for crash classes whenever time permits. Also, photographs are something that can immediately attract viewers so we make sure we get the best shots for our page.
It might sound cliche but post writings genuinely come from the first thought we have after seeing a picture. It is certainly time-consuming to put words together but we try and make it worth reading. It just adds on to the impact of a photo.
So yes it’s a thumbs up for photography and posts writing……recipe development; maybe next time!
Do you have any special blogging tip for new bloggers?
Not that we have aced blogging, but the first and foremost tip is you have to be extremely PATIENT. You have to always be in terms with the reason you started blogging in the first place which is mostly because of the love for that thing.
Then comes the creative thing which is the CONTENT. It has to be authentic because there are hundreds of bloggers out there and you need to give a reason to the viewers to like you, hence content in the king. Keep thinking and experimenting until you can connect with the world. Socialize and connect with other bloggers because there’s always something to learn and just put your best foot forward.
