What inspired you to be a DJ?
DJ Notorious said that I was always into music since my school days. I used to play percussion for my school band & later when I got to college I got more interested in DJing. My trip to the party capital of the world Ibiza (Spain) inspired me to be a professional DJ.
If you had to switch your style to another genre, what would it be?
If I had to switch my genre it would surely by to Euro Trance because that’s what I originally started off with in UK in the year 2000. This is one genre I really enjoy playing.
Who is your biggest inspiration? / Who do you have a lot of respect for?
I have the highest respect for DJ Paul Van Dyk. He’s one of the very few DJs who have been around for so long but stuck to their genre and made sure they don’t deviate. He’s one of the God’s of Trance music and currently, he plays an all LIVE set with midi controllers, etc which is a very difficult thing to do.
What is it about you that makes you different from other DJs?
I have been DJing for the last 20 years and one thing I have learnt is to make sure the crowd has a good time on the dance floor. I would say I adapt to the situation very quickly and I am not stubborn in terms of music. I an open to diversifying my skills in different genres of music.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as rather simplistic to the point where my main goal is to make sure people have a good time. I don’t over complicate my music or style of playing.
