What is the story behind your blog’s name?
While deciding on the blog’s name, I was clear about one thing – Portraying my image as a Vegetarian Food Blogger. Vegetarian food is not only delectable but also pleasing to the eyes if done correctly. I wanted to come up with a name sans the mention of Food in it. So after a lot of consideration, I came up with That Veggie Blogger.
Why did you decide/inspired to start a food blog?
A very simple explanation for that – My love for food. It started when I was a kid and at the age of 24, I decided to give my passion a platform. I am lucky to live in an era of digital transformation. It wasn’t hard to find a platform to do what I wanted to do. I first started my Zomato page and then came Instagram.
What is your blog about? Who reads it? How long have you been blogging?
My blog is all about Vegetarian food out there. Right from the affluent restaurants to the thrifty cafes, there are pictures of food from wherever I leave my imprint at. My Instagram has more than 59k followers spread all over the world but majorly from India. My journey started in August 2016 and by God’s grace, I have been doing and growing for more than 3 years.
What do you think food blogging will look like in 5 years?
Food Blogging has a lot of scope in the future. Influencers are on the rise and brands related to food have started to realize the significance of Food Bloggers. As everyone has an online presence these days, there is nowhere to go but up. In the next 5 years, I see many budding bloggers being established.
Which part of blogging excites you most: the recipe development, the post writing, or the photography?
Every part has its own perks but individually, the photography is the most exciting aspect followed by the post writing. Photography gives me the freedom to portray the dish as I want it to. I have the liberty to fix the angles, lighting and whatnot. And yeah, just after clicking the food, I get to devour it too!
What are the three most popular posts ever on your blog?
My most famous post is of Creamy Pasta Dosa when I was in Mumbai last month for blogging purpose. It garnered more than a million impressions, 670,000 views and more than 38K likes. The second one is of Cheese Garlic Bread from a hidden gem in South Ex. It got more than half a million impressions and 250,000 views with 12.8K likes. The last one would be of Thickshakes. I am one of those lucky bloggers from India who got 10K likes on a Milkshake post!
