What is the story behind your blog’s name?
There is a very personal story behind the name of my Food Blog: The Chatori Diaries. Being a Food Lover since childhood, I was nick named as Chatori by my friends and family. I used to and still love spicy/chatpata food. So, when I decided to get into food blogging, and was brainstorming about what name to choose. There was nothing better than carrying this legacy forward 😛 It’s like my food diary for my friends and other food lovers, hence The Chatori Diaries 🙂
Why did you decide/inspired to start a food blog?
I was an IT professional, busy with my 5 days 9-5 job. One thing that was exciting in my life was my passion for Food, travel and story telling. On a random summer day, met a friend over lunch and there she suggested me that I should share my food stories with people, as I always loved to try out variety of food and share those stories with people around, so decided to formalize it a bit through blog. So my passion and that friend forced me to bring my food experiences/adventures out in the world 😉
What’s your blog about? Who reads it? How long have you been blogging?
The Chatori Diaries is a Food Blog which covers all my Food Adventures. It consists of Restaurant Reviews, Product Reviews, Recipes, food related suggestions and some tips and tricks. It has been just over a year that I have been blogging and sharing my adventures and loving it to the core. It is fun to meet and interact with like minded people who share and understand the passion. The idea behind the blog share my experiences to all the food lovers out there and build a community around.
What do you think food blogging will look like in 5 years?
Food is a necessity to many and art to some. This is never gonna go out of limelight, it is booming industry. I am glad to see that people are taking it seriously and considering it as a profession. 5 years down the line, I see the industry growing with people serious and passionate about the profession. I expect some innovation in food blogging too, and would love to be a part of the same.
Do you have any special blogging tip for new bloggers?
No special tip as such, but I believe blogging is all about sharing your experiences with the world. I would just suggest the new bloggers to be open to experimenting and innovating the art. Not going too much into the technicalities, the crux is to relate with your audience and create content that adds value to someones life in any form.
