What is the story behind your blog’s name?
‘Sab Kha Jayenge’ literally means ‘Will eat everything’. We were trying to decide on a name and there were a lot of options to choose from. Sab Kha Jayenge wasn’t in the list but was mentioned as a joke. But what was meant as a joke actually became our identity! It was catchy and hilarious (at least in our heads).
Why did you decide/inspired to start a food blog?
We were on a trip to Hampi, Karnataka. The group we had never been out with before, but during that we realized food was the one thing that bonded us tight together. That was when and where the idea of Sab Kha Jayenge was conceived.
What’s your blog about? Who reads it? How long have you been blogging?
Sab Kha Jayenge is majorly a Photoblog on Instagram. It’s aimed at finding new places and new food. It runs on sheer passion for trying out different food and letting people know the honest review. Our Major audience is young, enthusiastic (foodies), explorers who are looking for recommendations and are open to trying new places, food, and events.
Sab Kha Jayenge has been on for almost two years now and we’ve been getting great response from our audience. We’ve started writing for platforms like Little Black Book etc. and we’re venturing into weblogs soon.
What do you think food blogging will look like in 5 years?
Blogging in general is a rage now as compared to earlier. With the intervention of social-media it has become a part of the popular culture. Eating is a basic necessity and craving for good food is human nature. So, as far as this remains constant, food blogging will continue to prosper. The platforms might/will change but food blogging in the essence, will remain the same
Which part of blogging excites you most: the recipe development, the post writing, or the photography?
We’re two passionate people handling the blog right now. While I (Archie) love to know about the ingredients, origin of the recipe, authenticity etc. , I do enjoy clicking pictures the most (partially because I am a trained photographer). On the other hand, Shivam has impeccable taste, he has travelled the world more than me and he knows exactly how certain dishes should taste like. He knows exactly what’s missing or what should be added or what would make a great combo! He has a natural flair for it and we have actually been giving our honest feedback to the places we visit and most of the times it really appreciated.
