Why did you decide/inspired to start a food blog?
In the year 2012 when we (Parmita and Sameer) started to know each other, we found that our common passion lied in relishing good food for which distance knew no bound. All that could make us both happy was exploring good food at different places regardless of the cuisine and this leads us to numerous food places in and around Mumbai. While this common passion bonded us with marriage we thought of committing to our fervor by sharing our experiences with fellow enthusiasts and what better than social media would we have thought of. This lead to the inception of a food blog which is today popularly known as Mumbai Food Trail.
What’s your blog about? Who reads it? How long have you been blogging?
Our blog is majorly about food experiences at various eateries in Mumbai categorized from being Michelin Star restaurant to not so famous street vendors. We also share our travel experiences from around the world with our followers whenever we hit the road. We have garnered the love of over 100K fellow Indians in this process and are proud that the majority of our Instagram family is from Mumbai.
It’s been over 4 years of experience sharing across various social media platforms now and has become an indivisible part of our lives. Though we have our professions to keep us busy through the weekdays we perseveringly find time in evenings and on weekends to keep alive our passion.
Which part of blogging excites you most: the recipe development, the post writing, or the photography?
While you passionately work towards something, you expose yourself to new learning’s; one tends to find hidden interests and talents. For us, it is the zeal that a perfect click gives us. While Parimita love to be in the frame, Sameer loves to capture the most delicious clicks from behind the camera. Our satisfaction in eating a beautifully plated dish or a street delicacy is incomplete without capturing a drool-worthy click.
