DJ AKansha Taneja aka DJ Akiraa is one of the best female DJ who started her career in Djing in 2010. It was just a kick start for her career in the world of music and has been encouraged to be a DJ because of her passion for music.
The party she plays on turned out to be amazingly awesome where the crowd becomes insane of her tunes. What inspired you to be a Dj?
My love and passion towards the music and my hobby of listening and exploring new music inspired me to become a Dj.
If you had to switch your style to another genre, what would it be?
I play Bollywood, Commercials, Hip-hop, Punjabi but if I had to switch my style to another genre, I’ll go for tech house.
How do you get the crowd pumped?
Interaction with crowd and Reading their mind plays a good role to make the crowd pumped. As I’ve played in different cities all over the country and I was also a resident Dj before, I got a pretty good experience like what crowd wants to listen and which track will give them a good kick.
How do you decide to become a Dj?
Actually I was interested in music from my childhood. I wanted to become a singer in my school time but because of my studies my parents didn’t support me for this profession later when I joined my college I started attending club parties with my friend group and got my interest in listening music and this becomes my hobby and then I decided to choose my hobby as my career.
Playing whole night compromising with your sleep, is it totally worth?
If you are doing something that you love so much of course that worth a lot of people come to club and night parties after their hectic day just to have some quality time and I love to make their time much more enjoyable and entertaining and in revert when I get compliments and appreciation I get the soulful satisfaction so yes this totally worth for me.
