When did you realize that you are funny and you need to let the world know that you are funny?
I still don’t think I’m funny, although my friends always tell me that I’m funny, but I have never been the funniest guy in any group of friends, I’ve always been the 2nd funniest person. I use to write and act in plays and used to host events in college in a very professional stand-up kinda manner, hence eventually I tried doing stand-up comedy.
Share any memorable event or instance.
“In February I performed my first solo show called “Love, religion and politics” at Kamala Nehru College, people were cheering and laughing like crazy from the moment I went on stage till the very end. After the show I got dozens of messages appreciating my views about the things I talked about, which means the most to any artist. It was a great opportunity to tell my story on such an amazing stage, it was definitely one of the most memorable event of my life.
What happens if people do not laugh at your jokes?
I do one of the three following things based on the joke and situation, first I try to improvise, second, I admit that it was a bad joke or a bad day. Third, I blame it on them, tell them it was a good joke but they are bad people and they don’t deserve it.
What advice would you give new comedians just starting out?
I also just started, I don’t think I’m eligible to give any advice. All I can say is keep doing what you love as long as you can.
