After passing out his 12th standard Shibiraj joined the Institute of Hotel Management and catering technology in Kolkata, West Bengal. From the beginning of his management course he was very clear about his career path. After completing three years course he went to Delhi and joined TGIF and then worked with some of the top brands in this industry like Hyatt, ITC, Taj Group of Hotels, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group and IHG during the span of his 19 years of career.
Shibiraj is an expert on modern Indian food as well in contemporary cooking techniques and food presentation. His passion for cooking developed further and then he had the opportunity to work with many talented chefs.
Now He is an Executive chef in Holiday Inn Amritsar. Bearing excellent communication skills he has appeared on numerous cookery shows in the media..
