Chef Chandan Prajapati:-

Chef Chandan Prajapati  has completed his  hotel management course form Merit Swiss Asian School of Hotel Management in 2004, Chef Chandan Prajapati embarked on the culinary journey and worked with brands like Hyatt, IHG, Accor , Starwood and  also worked with cruise liners like Costa and Celebrity.

Currently He is the Executive Chef of Fern Hotel Ahmedabad. His specialisation is in Western cuisine but recently have fallen in love with the Indian cuisine. The Indian food in itself holds many sub cuisines and recently he had successfully held the North East India food festival at the Fern Ahmedabad. Chef Chandan Prajapati also loves to travel and learn the local cuisines from the remote parts of India. In his free time he  love to write for  blogs, practise kick boxing, watch movie and read news.

 

What inspired you to become a chef?

Well to be honest I never thought I would be a Chef. It was during the industrial training I got the chance to work in kitchen for a month and I was fascinated by the different cuisines and the names of various dishes. I instantly decided then that this would be great skill to learn. And gradually I developed the passion for cooking.

 

Is there a chef you admire the most? Who and why?

I admire all the Chefs who made their names in this field with their hard work dedication and determination.

 

When are you happiest at work?

I feel happy when the guests loves the food and says something like this “Who cooked this food, its great. Can I meet the Chef”.

 

Do you have any advice for someone wanting to become a chef?

It’s a rewarding career. knowledge will always help you to sharpen your skill, learn new things and keep yourself updated with the modern trends in cooking.

 

Who do you love cooking for the most?

I love cooking for my little son. His happiness has no bound when I am cooking for him.
