What inspired you to become a chef?

My inspiration was my father who loves cooking and serves the dishes to family and friends, but I can’t deny the fact that my mom’s food was the best.



When are you happiest at work?

When I see the plates coming to the dishwasher are completely empty and the guest has consumed every morsel of food in it. A wonderful sight!!



What have been the key drivers for the success of your journey?

Hard work, determination and positive attitude and plus great team to work with.



Do you have any advice for someone wanting to become a chef?

I just want to say It’s not easy to become a chef; you need to work hard, keep a positive attitude, patience, and commitment to work. More important than anything else the passion that you drive within!!!



Who do you love cooking for the most?

I love cooking for my family as it makes me and my family happy. Cooking for my family is a mental break or relaxation for me. I just enjoy the sensory experience of my cooking.



Which is your favorite home-cooked food?

Kottayam fish curry with Kappa vevichathu (tapioca) the combination of this together is unbeatable. I miss my Mom’s food that she used to cook for me.

Currently working with the Lemon Tree Premier, Mumbai as Senior Executive Chef. Started my journey in 2002 with Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa after completing my B-Tech in Hotel Management.
Over the years got opportunity to show case my skills in hotels and cruises (The Oberoi Mumbai, P&O cruise line). My passion is not just cooking but to consistently provide quality food. Handling and managing operations, customer-oriented approach, resource management, trouble-shooting & skill development. Despite my extensive experience and expertise, I always believe in constantly learning. During my free time, I love to spend some quality time with my two daughters and cook something simple yet interesting for them.
